Christmas Card #7

My card today is my weekly Christmas Card for the Bah Humbug Challenge.  This week it is 'Things that fly'.  I downloaded this freebie digi stamp from Just Inklined '4 Robins' a while ago and never used it.

I thought promarkers would be too deep for this image so dragged out my watercolours which haven't seen the light of day in a while.  I think I need a bit more practice with them though.  The red holly paper is a free download from Cuddly Buddly and the green holly paper is a scrap I had left from a very old paper pack.  The sentiment is a freebie from the front of a magazine and the poinsetta was from a prize win at Bah Humbug.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - The sketch
ABC Challenge - O for Ovals
ABC Christmas Challenge - 1 digi, 2 papers and 2 embellishments (poinsetta and ribbon)
Crazy 4 Challenges - Flowers

The way you've co-ordinated all the holly motifs is lovely & effective & I like the softness you achieved overall - that was good thinking. You've reminded me I have a robin stamp that's not been inked for a while........ & I love that you used a bird image rather than the obvious angel or fairy.

Hi Debs :)

I had that very same green paper, those scraps sure go a long way! :)

Cute lil robbins and your colouring is great. I know what you mean about PM's, I once heard Joanna sheen say 'stick with the pale shades!' and so I tend to be quite light with them unless I am confident that I need bold and strong colours.

Great layout too and I am still so very impressed you are making xmas cards!

way to go :)
