Christine's Retirement

Good Afternoon everyone, isn't it a lovely day.  Makes a nice change.  I've got my bedding out blowing on the line and I think I'll go and do a bit of tidying in the garden later if it stays nice.

My card today is a retirement card for Christine who is the reception manager at work.  This is the second retirement in the last couple of months so there have been lots of changes.  We have 2 new members of staff on reception and everybody else has been juggled about.  I am permanently upstairs now doing the secretarial/admin work.

Stamp - Air Hostess Tilda coloured with Promarkers
Nitwits Papers - Promises Too
Sentiments - Lili of the Valley and Paula Pascual with retirement printed on computer
Braid - Crafts 4 You
Gems from stash
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Diva's by Design - Fab Sketch
Passion for Promarkers - Planes, Trains and Automobiles (I hope my mode of transport counts, if it doesn't please delete me from the list)
Sweet Stampin' - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes

Please check out Nutcrafters tomorrow where there'll be a new challenge and Katie and Colette have provided another freebie digi so you can all join in.  Here is a sneaky peak of the digi.

Christmas Tilda

Well it's another miserable day here in Manchester but warm and muggy!!.

No doubt you will have heard the news all over blogland that there is a cheeky mare on Ebay selling a CD with cards made with Sugar Nellie images. So I popped over to have a nosey and got the shock of my life.  One of my cards was included on the CD.  She is saying she has got permission to use them and has even paid for the use of them, well she hasn't paid me or any of the others anything.  This CD has now been taken off Ebay but she has loads of others including Tildas, Stamping UP, etc.  Bev and Maddy have set up a new forum Stop Thieves so please pop over and take a look.  Suffice to say I am not a happy bunny and will be watermarking all my cards from now on.  I have also joined My Free Copyright.com.

Anyway onto this week's Christmas Card.  Again it fits into a few challenges.

I have used this gorgeous Tilda with Heart Ornament and coloured her with Promarkers.  I've added a bit of 3D gloss to the heart and sprinkled on a tiny bit of glamour dust.  The papers are from my scraps drawer and matted onto a piece of red card that came as packing in the deeds to my house which I received last week (yyyyyyaaaaaaaaayyy finally paid off the mortgage!!)  Ribbon and gems from stash and white gel pen faux stitching to finish.

Challenges entered:

Bah Humbug - Recycling or Shades of Green
Winter Wonderland - The Colours of Christmas
Sparkle's Forum - Holly or Ivy
Sketch Saturday - The Sketch
Just Magnolia - Anything Goes with option of stitching

Christmas Card #4

This week's Christmas card is for 2 challenges.  The first is for Bah Humbug and this week it is oldie but goldie.  I have had this stamped image 'Waiting Tilda' for ages.  It was an image donated by a good friend and its another I have been saving.   Why do I do this?  Does anybody else?  I have an envelope full of images I am saving, maybe that should be my challenge this year to actually use them ha ha.

The second challenge I am entering is Winter Wonderland which is to use a sentiment as a focal point on your card.   This sentiment is another I have had in my drawers for ages.  It is part of a foiling and flocking kit.  I have used the flocking  on this one.  It was really easy too, don't know why I haven't used it before.

Friday Sketchers meets Just Magnolia

Just a quick post this morning, I have just realised that I need to get 5 cards done before next weekend so had better get a wriggle on!!

My first card is for a birthday and I have used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers.

I am also entering this card into the Just Magnolia challenge which this week is to use pleated lace.

I have used this gorgeous 'Flying Tilda' and coloured her with Promarkers.  The wings are coloured with the pearly paints from The Works mixed with irridescent medium and then glamour dusted to up the sparkle.  The papers are a Zoe Pearn freebie from a magazine.  SeeD sentiment.  Punched flowers and gems from stash.

Right back to craft table for me, to see what else I can come up with today.
