Little Red Riding Hood

Good Morning all!! Isn't it a gorgeous day!! I've got all the windows open, washing on the line, birds tweeting and card made. What more does a girl need lol.

Well my card this morning is for my baby girl Emily.  It's her birthday on Saturday and she is leaving her teens behind.  20 years, where on earth has that gone!!  Then she's off back to Uni in Lincoln Sunday, boo hoo!!

As soon as I saw this image'To Grandmother's House by Mo Manning' I knew I had to  buy it.  This is why.

Pic of Emily aged about 5 dressed up for World Book Day at Primary School when they had to go in as a Fairy Tale Character.

Mo Manning - Christmas Card

Good Morning everyone, jeepers isn't it a windy one. A few weeks ago when it was this windy 2 ridge tiles blew off the roof and put a dint in Chris's car door. He only got his car back from the repair shop on Friday so he has just gone out and moved it off the drive onto the road. The tree will probably blow over now and crush it lol.

My card today is another Christmas card to add to my collection.

Good Afternoon all, hope you are still having a nice break.  Chris has just made us a yummy roast pork for lunch, loads of crispy crackling, don't think it will last very long lol.  He has just gone to see his mum and then is picking Stewart up on his way back so we can have a nice family lunch.

My card today is a Christmas card.  Last year I made one a week but haven't managed it this year so seeing as I had  a bit of time I thought I would get one done.

Good Evening everyone, don't know what has been up with Blogger this afternoon but I've been trying for the last 2 hours to upload this card.  I could get the writing to post but it wouldn't let me add the picture.  Hopefully it is sorted now, finger's crossed.

My card today is for my mum tomorrow.  I've bought us tickets to see Calendar Girls at the Opera House on Tuesday night, just the two of us.  Can't wait.

The image was a freebie from the fab Mo Manning called 'Wonderful Day' and coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are from Zoe Pearn and Birdsong from Papermania.  Ribbon is a piece of Organza from Home Bargains which I have cut up.  The sentiment came with the image and I have hand sewn around the edge.

Christmas Card #14

Good morning everyone, had an early start this morning so thought I would get cracking on this week's Christmas Card.  We were up at 5.30 as Chris is doing a 20k run today 'Offa's 'Orror' down in  Tintern near Chepstow.  It's a multi terrain race so running on footpaths and forest trails and up and down hills.  I think he's mad but he loves it.  Anyway it leaves me in peace to craft.  Not going down to watch, it's about 3 hours away but my sister and brother in law live down there and are going to cheer him on and let him use their shower afterwards!!

Anyway onto my card.  I tend to shy away from black and white challenges 'cos I am rubbish at colouring in with greys and blacks but the DT on Die Cut Dreams Christmas Challenge have used colour on their images so thought it would be okay if I did too!!

I am also entering it into the following challenges:
Bah Humbug - Stockings
ABC Christmas Challenge - Hotspot or Spotlight Technique

I really enjoyed making this card, it took me out of my comfort zone but I think that's a good thing sometimes, isn't it.  I haven't tried this spotlight technique before but think it is very effective and will definitely try it again.  I've used this lovely Mo Manning image 'Pammy's Stocking' and coloured the spotlight bit with Promarkers and added a bit of glamour dust to the top of the stocking.  The backing papers are from Summer Driggs 'Year to Shine' kit and the stripey paper is Charcoal Prints from Dovecraft.  The large snowflake is a Cuttlebug die and the little one a Sizzix die cut.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from The Clear Art Stamps Impressions kit.

I'm Back

I'm back with my second card today. It's a birthday card for a lady at work.  I have used this gorgeous digi image from Mo Manning 'Penelope's Party Wagon' and coloured it with Promarkers.

Sorry about the picture but the light here today has been horrendous, if it is any brighter tomorrow I will edit it.

The papers are a free digi download from Zoe Pearn called 'So Sweet'.  Aren't they lovely.

I am entering this card into 2 challenges:

Stamp Something - Digi Day

New Year Birthday

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and got lots of lovely crafty pressies. I only got a couple, some new Promarkers from my son, he even took my colour chart with him to make sure he didn't get any duplicates. Then he decided to leave them on the bus and had to go chasing after it lol. Managed to get them though so it all worked out well in the end. Got 4 sets of Nesties off Chris, I told him which ones I wanted and he ordered the correct ones but the Online shop he ordered from sent one of them wrong. I have sent an email to try and sort it out but had no reply yet. Hopefully they will reply tomorrow when we all go back to work.

My card for today is for a lady I work with who will be 60 on New Years Eve.  I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.  The image is from Mo Manning and is Bella Carrying the cake and is coloured with Promarkers.

For You

My card today is a lot brighter than I would normally do, but the person it is for is a very jolly person who loves Pink so I think she will like it.  I am using this gorgeous Mo Manning Digi stamp 'For You' and have coloured it with Promarkers.

I have followed the sketch from the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog.  They are celebrating their birthday this week with a blog hop and lots of lovely prizes.  The papers I have used are Zoe Pearn and were free in Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.  The ribbons are from Imag-e-nation and the flowers are from Home Bargains.

I am also entering my card into these challenges:
