Christmas Card #3

My Christmas Card this week is another for a few challenges.

The first challenge is ABC Christmas.  This week the challenge is B for Black and White.  The sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Dustin Pike and there is even a freebie from Dustin so there is no excuse not to enter.  I've used this fabby reindeer image by Dustin and coloured with Promarkers.  I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and am also entering it into Cute Card Thursday which is 1,2,3  I have used one paper, 2 stamps and 3 embellishments.

Now here's my apology!!  Sorry ladies at Bah Humbug I know I haven't missed a week since you started your challenges and I haven't missed this week either but I am rather ashamed of my feeble effort.  When I saw that the challenge this week was 'crackers'  I thought that won't be too difficult but after searching high and low, through all my Christmas stash I haven't found one single cracker on any of my stamps or papers.  I did however, find these brads that I won from you and this one is supposed to be a cracker (it looks more like a boiled sweet to me lol!!)  Sorry, I promise I will try harder  next week.

Stewart's 21st

It is my son Stewart's 21st Birthday on Monday, gosh do I feel old!!! Where has the time gone. I always struggle with male cards and this one really got me in a spin. Just couldn't think of anything that I hadn't already done before.

So after searching all the blogs for inspiration I came up with this inspired by Kerry Pickle's stepper card but I put the numbers at the bottom so it would still fit in a square envelope.  If you are reading this Kerry, thank you ever so much.  He is a keen photographer and we have bought him a new camera for his birthday so thought this image would be appropriate.

The image is a download from Dustin Pike and it is coloured with Promarkers.  The Backing Papers are Boy Oh Boy from Summer Driggs and the sentiment is done on the computer.

I am entering this card into the A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which this week is 3D Something.

Owl card for a special little girl

My card today is for a very special little girl who I have never met but shares a love of owls with me. Jennifer over at http://just4funcrafts.blogspot.com/ has put a request on her blog for cards for Delia who is 10 years old and has just been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. The wonderful Dustin Pike has issued a free set of digi owl stamps for us to use for this

My second card is for Delia's little sister Adira, well Delia has had so many cards I didn't like to leave her out. I am also entering this one into the I love Digi Challenge. This is a new challenge blog and the first challenge is 'Pink'
The image is another of Dustin Pike's creations and even better it was another freebie. The patterned paper is a download from Scrapbooking mad. I have stamped the flowers on the card from a SeeD set and the sentiment is Clare Curd. The image is coloured with Promarkers.

2 Christmas Cards Today

The first card is for the little girl next door who was born back in April. This is a free digital image from Dustin Pike. I have coloured with Promarkers and used backing papers that I had left over from a couple of years ago.

The second card I have made is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. This week there is a fab sketch designed by Kathy and should include the added option of lace. I have used this cute little Manga image coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is from Stampin Up, the snowflakes I won in a Blog Candy, gems and lace from stash.

Thanks for any comments you may leave and hope you have a great weekend. It is chucking it down here in Manchester at the minute, we haven't had much rain lately so can't really grumble but hope it doesn't last too long. I am off work now until Thursday, yeah!!!! so hope to get some more Christmas cards made and then relax. Usually I am still making them a couple of weeks before Christmas so I am well ahead this year. Off to look for a new carpet for the lounge now but will pop back later to go hopping. Best wishes Debs xx

Two cards today for 16 year old twins. A boy and a girl.

For the first card I have used the Papermania 'For Him' papers and stickers. The image is a free download from Dustin Pike, I love this image and you will probably be seeing it again for my other male cards. Coloured with Promarkers. Peel off from stash.

For the second card I have used this cute little stamp from Nutcrafters 'Mac' this time coloured with whispers pens. I have run the nestie through the swiss dots folder in my cuttlebug. The backing papers are from Costco and peel off and gems from stash.
