A colleague at work has asked me to make a card for her partner's 40th. I really hate making cards for other people to give and especially those dreaded men cards. I quite like the way this one has turned out but still feel there is something 'missing' so if you have any ideas I would appreciate them.
I am entering this one into this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge 'Men's Card'.
The stamp is PB 'Bubble of Joy' coloured with Promarkers.
Papers - Free download from Summer Driggs
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny, happy cards.
Stamp Something - Something Funky
One Stop Craft Challenge - Birthday Card

This is fabulous I dread male cards too but you have totally cracked it here. To be honest I dont think there is anything missing hun its perfect the way it is & I'm sure they will love it!!
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
Gorgeous card Debs and good luck with the challenges x Susan x
This looks perfect just the way it is Debs :) Great male card. I really struggle with them, but this looks fab for a 40th!
I think even the gemstones look like champers bubbles :)
Have a great week,
hugs

I agree with Alison - it's fine as it is & just right for a male 40th. Love the gold matting & I always look forward to seeing your PB creations. I do like those letter tiles at the jaunty angle - really effective & how the mouse has has the 4 balanced on his nose - that's so apt, can just imagine the Champagne flowing with some fun & games.

Oh this is wonderful Deb and I don't think there is anything you could do to improve its so perfect.
luv
Debby
this is a great card i just love it x
Ok Debs I'm going out on a limb here & while I DO think it's a great card with a super layout, I have a comment about your something missing... I feel the white panel is too white (IYKWIM!), maybe it needed colour, such as a light brown colour to blend in with the stripes on the blue paper or a light blue. Either that or it needed gentle pattern (so as not to clash) or texture. But that's just my opinion so you can feel free to come back & yell "Don't talk rubbish" at me!
Hope you don't mind my giving my opinion & you won't bar me from your blog now!!! xx
