Sketch Saturday Challenge
Oh my goodness, what's going on with the weather, thought all the snow had gone but woke up this morning to another inch of the stuff brrrrr. Then to top it all got a text from hubby saying he had just been on the beach, 98 degrees in Melbourne aaagghh!!
I have made this card for the daughter of my friend at work who has just moved into her first flat with her boyfriend. I thought this cute Mo Manning image was perfect for this and have coloured it with Promarkers. I have followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday
The papers are from the Laura Ashley set, Nestie and Sizzix die cuts. Gems from Home Bargains. Flowers from stash.

Passion for Promarkers/Creative Inspirations
My card today is a Birthday card for Chris' mum Betty. She will be 81 on Friday. He will have to take it around to her tomorrow as on Friday I am getting rid of him for 2 weeks. The lucky swine is going to Melbourne for work, well he keeps telling me it is for work but then I keep catching him googling fishing trips, and walks in the Yarra Valley lol. I have used this gorgeous Tilda and have coloured her with Promarkers. The challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week is to use Pastel Green and Blossom so that's what I have used. I am also entering it into the Creative Inspirations Challenge which is 'feminine'. The papers are from the Laura Ashley set. Flowers and butterfly from a candy win. Buttons, gems and beads from stash.
Now what can me and Emily get up to while he is away ............................................................!!!lol

Bah Humbug/Whiff of Joy/Sketch Saturday
Another card for 3 challenges today. The first challenge is the Bah Humbug challenge. I am really enjoying these challenges to make a christmas card every week. I have joined in each week so far and have 3 cards to put in my Christmas box. This week it is to use glitter which I have used on Charlotte's hat and muff. There is also glitter mixed in with the fake snow.
The 2nd challenge is for Whiff of Joy which is to use 3 papers, 2 bling and 1 flower. I have substituted the flower for a snowflake, hope this doesn't disqualify me.
The 3rd challenge is this fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday
Stamp 'Winter Charlotte with cat' Whiff of Joy coloured with Promarkers. Papers Stamping Up. Snowflake Die/Corners Cuttlebug and Sizzix. See D sentiment. Gems from stash.

Rudolph Card
Good Afternoon from a wet and miserable Manchester. My card today is for the Bah Humbug Challenge which this week is to use something new. My "new" is this Hampton Art stamp which I got in the sales after Christmas from Dunelm Mill. I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I have coloured his nose with Promarkers and put 3D gloss over the top. The snowflakes are cuttlebug and sizzix dies. I have added glamour dust to his forehead and ?beard but I don't think it shows up well on the picture. Don't know what the pimple is on his cheek, it is not on the card lol.
I am also adding this card to the following challenges:

Card for 3 Challenges
I have really enjoyed making this card this morning. It is my first day since before Christmas that I have had the house to myself (should have been last Tuesday but the snow put a kibosh on that). So I have turned the radio up on full blast and totally trashed the dining room, there is stash everywhere. Why do we make such a mess making one little card, never mind I can just shut the door on it and pretend it isn't there lol.
I have used the sketch from Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, the paper pleating is from the Just Magnolia Challenge with a fabulous tutorial by Mina, haven't used this technique before but will definitely use it again it is so effective. The third challenge that I have entered is Passion for Promarkers which this week is to use the colours Cool Aqua and Cocoa. My stamp is Tilda with Cowberry Muffin, papers are Stamping Up, punched flowers and leaves, gems and ribbon from stash. Oh well, better get on with the h*******k, the washing has just finished and the breakfast pots are still in the sink!!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge
There is a fab sketch on the Sugar Bowl Challenge with a prize of 6 Mary Hall stamps. The added option is to use something 'New'.
My something new is the Sugar Nellie Stamp 'Blossom' by Leanne Ellis which I have coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Stamping Up. I have paper pieced the flowers.
Bah Humbug Challenge - Recycle
Good Afternoon from a very chilly but thawing slightly Greater Manchester. This is my first card since Christmas and I can't quite believe it is another Christmas card but there is a fab new Challenge Blog called Bah Humbug whose aim is to have loads of fun and at the same time ensure that by the time Christmas arrives we will all have a supply of beautiful cards to hand.
The first challenge is to use any recycled items from Christmas.
I have used an image from a card I received, cut out with nesties and matted onto mirri board. The sentiment is cut from another card and the star gem is off yet another card. I have added 3d gloss to his nose and glamour dust to the snow.

Bad Blogger
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. After Christmas got struck down with a really bad cold (not flu) and after getting home from work, I was in bed every night around 9 o'clock as I was shattered. Even went to bed at 10.30 New Years Eve and didn't even hear the fireworks. Spent a lovely day at mum and dad's New Years Day, couldn't taste much of the dinner but enjoyed it just the same. Woke up Saturday to find a load of snow dumped on us overnight, which looked lovely but we were driving down to London as we had tickets to see Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre. It wasn't too bad, once we had got away from Manchester there were lovely blue skies and the roads were fine. We stayed in Kensington and had a lovely meal at a Lebanese restaurant and then went to see the show. It was fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend it if you like musicals. I am still singing the songs now. On the Sunday we spent the day seeing all the sights of London, I don't think we missed anything, but my feet and legs are paying for it now. Emily hadn't been to London before but really enjoyed it. Got home about 10 o'clock Sunday night and fell straight into bed as we all had work and college Monday.
Not really had time for cardmaking but will try to join in with a couple of challenges at the weekend and do a little blog hopping. Hugs Debs xx
