Sketch Saturday Challenge

Not been around for a while as I have been mega busy at work and havn't had the energy when I get home. This week's card is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. There is a lovely sketch to follow this week.

It has been a miserable day here today, chucking it down all afternoon and it doesn't help when you are watching Wimbledon and it is scorching there. I hope we get to see Murray play tonight but the way the Roddick match is going it might be too late.

I have used the Penny Black stamp 'uplifting occasions' coloured with Promarkers. The papers and flower stickers are all from a prize I won on a DoCrafts weekly challenge so sorry I don't know the name of them. The sentiment is from the Clare Curd Sentiment Range. Come to think of it this card didn't cost me much to make at all. The image I received in a swap. The Promarkers I won in a blog candy and the papers from my win. I did pay for the sentiment stamp, ink and blue and white card.
EDIT: Andy Murray won, yeah!!!! Still raining boooo!!

Cards for Twins

Two cards today for 16 year old twins. A boy and a girl.

For the first card I have used the Papermania 'For Him' papers and stickers. The image is a free download from Dustin Pike, I love this image and you will probably be seeing it again for my other male cards. Coloured with Promarkers. Peel off from stash.

For the second card I have used this cute little stamp from Nutcrafters 'Mac' this time coloured with whispers pens. I have run the nestie through the swiss dots folder in my cuttlebug. The backing papers are from Costco and peel off and gems from stash.

New Whiff of Joy Release

Whiff of Joy are releasing some fab new stamps this weekend. Katherina is giving away 2 surprise packages including a couple of new stamps on her blog. Go and take a look. I love the Willow with toddler stamp.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

Well, Good Afternoon. Today has not been as bad as I thought it would be, we've even had a bit of sunshine this afternoon. Do the weather people ever get it right!!! Me and Em have been for our holiday jabs this morning and our arms are now a bit tender but havn't stopped me making this card. As she is off school at the mo (study leave) and has been doing so much revision for her GCSEs she dragged me off to the shops, I ended up spending loads on her and I only got a new bikini (how come that always happens!!)

Back to my card, the challenge over on Spoon Full of Sugar this week is 'Butterflys'.

I have used another of my new Miss Anya stamps 'Rain' coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are Dovecraft 'Retro Floral'. The die cut butterflies are from the Cuttlekids Fairy Alphabet and then run through the 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder. The ribbon, beads and label are from my stash and the sentiment is from Clare Curd sentiment range.

Friendship Card

This is my card for the June Friendship swap over on DoCrafts. I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers and I must admit I enjoyed this one and will probably use it again.
I have also entered this card into the Allsorts Challenge which this week is to use Pink and White. Although my card is not the obvious pink I think it still fits in with this challenge.

I have used my Miss Anya stamp coloured with whispers pens, the papers are from the set from Costco and Papermania, ribbons, gems, rose from my stash and punched flowers.

Penny Black Challenge

The Penny Black Challenge over on Docrafts this week has been set by Sandra. You have to make a card incorporating a Penny Black stamp and also illustrating a song title. I have used the PB stamp 'Bubble of Joy' and my song title is pretty obvious, Congratulations by Cliff Richard.

I have used Ink it up Dye based stamp and coloured with Promarkers.
I am also entering this card into the Honeypot Crafts Blog Candy Challenge. Phil has set certain specifications and I think I have covered all of them.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Oh my goodness, what on earth has happened to the weather this week. My back is still sore from the sunburn I got last weekend, and now I have had to dig my jeans and jumpers out again it is that cold!!!!!
Todays card is for the Just Magnolia Challenge. There is a fab sketch to follow designed by Rach.

I have coloured my Tilda with Promarkers, the backing papers are from a candy win, Prima flowers, sentiment is Clare Curd signature range, ribbon and gems from stash.

Nutshells DT Call

Katie and Colette at Nutcrafters have set up a new blog called Nutshells and are asking for bloggers to become part of their Design Team.  They have kindly provided a fabulous little 'Nut' Digistamp to use.  You need to follow the sketch provided by Nikki.

Also to celebrate their new blog they have some candy to give away.  4 of Katie's new stamps from the Summer collection before the official release and a selection of Imaginisce flowers.

I have coloured the image with Whispers pens and paper pieced her dress.  The papers are a free digi download from Summer Driggs called Limeade.  It does look a bit more limey in real life but no matter what I tried I couldn't get the photo to capture the colour.  I have punched the flowers out of the same papers and the branch/leaves is a sizzix border die.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge

What a beautiful morning, the sun is shining, blue skies, no clouds and a lovely breeze. The birds had me up at 5.30 so I got up and made this card for the new Passion for Promarkers challenge. I think there will be a lot of interest in this challenge as the prizes are fab. Dies to Die for are giving 2 stamps, Angel Crafts are offering 3 ribbon sets and Joanna Sheen is offering a full set of 92 Promarkers, how generous is that.

I have just got these fabulous Miss Anya Stamps (I won the set in Julie's Birthday Blog Candy, thank you Julie)
These are the Promarker colours I have used, Ivory and Blush for the skin colours, Terracotta and Apricot for her hair and Grass, Pastel Pink and Pastel Yellow for her clothes.

The paper and flowers are from another candy win so I don't know the names and the sentiment is from the Clare Curd Sentiment Range.

Off to get showered and dressed now, then Chris, Em and I are going for a country walk, I think we are going to Edale in The Peak District. See you later.

Emigration Card

I have made this card for my colleague at work to give to her brother-in-law and his wife who are emigrating to Canada. I googled Canada images and cut them out. The Strongbow can is because you can't get it over there and they are very miffed about that.
