Just Magnolia Challenge

The challenge at Just Magnolia this week is a fab sketch designed by Mina. I have used this lovely image of Tilda coloured with Promarkers. It is a bit brighter than I would normally do but the lady that this is for is a very jolly, larger than life person who always dresses in bright colours so I think she will like it.

Dinosaur Card

I had to make this card in a hurry on Thursday night. It is for one of the GPs I work with, it's his birthday on Sunday so had to get it done so I could take it in work Friday. He is a lovely man and we all call him the 'old fossil' because he is the oldest person at work so thought this image would be suitable. Hope he doesn't mind (don't think he will).

Image coloured with Promarkers, Papermania Collossal Paper Pack For Him, Sentiment Claire Curd.

Purple Christmas

Here's another Christmas card to add to my collection. I am going to try and do a few a week now up til Christmas. Probably won't happen and I will end up rushing to get them done at the last minute. I am also going to try and use up all the papers I have left from the last few years. Are you like me and always want to buy new papers every year even though you have tons already?
This card fits into 2 challenges. The first is Passion for Promarkers where you have to use 2 or more of lilac, lavender, amethyst and aubergine. The only one I havn't used is aubergine as I don't have this one ............................yet!!
The second is a sketch from Sketch Saturday I have really enjoyed this sketch and think it is very effective.

The stamp is Winter Mimi by Pink Gem coloured with Promarkers and sparkled up with glamour dust, cuttlebug Ice Crystal and See D sentiment.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

My daughter asked me to make a card for her friend, Sam's birthday this week. I have used this lovely stamp Willow with Hot Chocolate from Whiff of Joy and coloured it with Promarkers.

I have had the lounge walls plastered this week and the plasterers left behind a roll of plasterboard tape, well you know what us crafters are like, waste not want not, so I coloured it with my Promarkers to match the card and used it as an embellishment. I don't think it looks too bad, do you? Another added bonus is that it is self adhesive so no having to tuck it in behind the backing paper.
I have also joined in with the Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge this week as the challenge was to use the colours Turquoise and Brown. Sorry about the poor photo but my camera has just died and I have had to use my daughter's cheapo one.

Thank you for taking the time to look and I hope you like it. Best wishes Debs xx

Sketch Saturday Challenge

What a beautiful day it has been today, lets hope it stays like this all week as I have got the week off work.
Just come in for something to eat and get a break from the sunshine and thought I would post this card that I made this morning. I have followed the fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

Passion for Promarkers

Yeeaa I have been able to join in with the Passion For Promarkers Challenge this week because it is a sketch challenge. Although I have got quite a few PMs I never seem to have both the colours that were needed for the challenges. This sketch is a lovely one designed by Michelle, I have really enjoyed working with it.

I have used this cute Christmas stamp from Pink Gem Designs called Mimi and Snowman.
Skin colours, Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink. Mimi's clothes, Lilac, Lavender, Blossom, Pastel Yellow. Snowman, Pastel Green, Coral and Pastel Blue.

18 Birthday

This is a card I promised to make for Faye, the daughter of Fairy Wings over on the DoCrafts Forum.

I have used the fabulous sketch on the Friday Sketchers Blog.

My First Distressed Card

I have combined two challenges this week Simon Says and Just Magnolia because they are both the same 'distressing'. It is the first time I have had a go at this, and though I think I have done alright I am not too sure if I like it or not....

I have coloured the lovely Tilda with Promarkers. The backing paper is from the Costco pack and I have distressed the edges with a pair of scissors. I have stamped around the edges of the pale brown card with an old leaf stamp to 'dirty' it up a bit. Buttons and Ribbons from my stash.
