More Penguins

Couple more penguin cards today. Think these will probably be the last for now, but never say never lol. I don't know what's wrong with me today but I just can't seem to get warm. I am sat here with a jumper and cardigan on and my hands are still freezing

Right off to make myself a hot drink, might even have a biccie too lol. Please scroll down and see my challenge card that I have also uploaded today and thanks for any comments. Debs x

Sugar Bowl Challenge

There's a gorgeous card sketch on The Sugar Bowl Challenge this week designed by Marlene and the prize is a set of the scrumptious new Sugar and Spice stamps. There is an added option to use zig zags. If you look closely you can see that the stripey paper has been cut with a zig zag blade in my trimmer.

I think I will give this one to my mum and dad but you know me, I'll probably change my mind and give it someone else.

The stamp is the fabulous 'Santa with tree' from Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers and glitzed up with Glamour dust. Papers are Stampin Up and DCWV. Card cut with Doily Lace punch. Pink Petticoat Sentiment. Gems and ribbon from stash.

More Easel Cards

Here are some of the other easel cards I made at the weekend before my camera died. I really enjoy making these, they are so easy but I think look very effective

2 Challenge Card

My card today is for 2 challenges. The first is Colour Create which this week is Red, Green and White. Hope they don't mind me sneaking in a bit of silver mirri and black. The second is the Simon Says Challenge which is animal antics, you have to include some kind of animal on your card. They are also asking you to think about the animal charities at this time of year, which is a great idea. My daughter does voluntary work in one of our local dog's homes and says they are always in need of food for the dogs and cats they are looking after

Another Easel Card

I have made a few easel cards today for my hubby's workmates. Only got a picture of one of them though, cos my camera battery has just died and I can't find another one. The picture is a bit naff cos of the lighting. I have used a daylight lamp but can't manage to get the colours look true to life. If any of you have any tips for getting a good photo, please leave me a comment.

The image is from Pink Petticoat 'Have an ice Christmas' coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Dovecraft from years ago. Snowflakes are various Dies. Sentiment Pink Petticoat. Embossing is Cuttlebug Snowflake Folder. Gems and Ribbon from stash. Snow is the glitter snow from B&M.

Just the one card today, my first try at an easel card and it has taken me all morning. I'll be quicker next time (I hope). Don't think it has turned out bad. I have made this one for my friend at work whose sister in law moved to Canada earlier this year.
Sugar Nellie stamp Santa with tree coloured with Promarkers. Stamping Up papers. Cuttlebug snowflakes. Cuddly Buddly sentiment. Glamour Dusted to sparkle. Ribbon and Gems from stash. Rest of sentiment done on computer.

Just Magnolia Challenge

This is my second post today so please scroll down and take a look at my other card.
The Challenge at Just Magnolia this week is 'distressing'. I haven't really tried distressing before and don't know if I will again. I think I am just a bit set in my ways.

I don't think it has turned out bad but just not too sure about it. Maybe it will grow on me. i have used this lovely Tilda image coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are from the jumbo pack at Costco and I have run my scissors along the edges to roughen them up a bit. I have used the Doily Lace punch by Martha Stewart. Stitched around the edges. The sketch is from the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I love using sketches.

Miss Anya Birthday

Had my new lounge carpet fitted today. It looks fab and so different. I have moved all the furniture around and with the settee on a different wall and the telly in the corner the room looks so much bigger. Should have done it years ago. Just got to get some furniture now (maybe a small set of drawers and nest of tables) and it will be finished. Not going to rush into it though I will live with what I have until I see the perfect bit of furniture.

I am entering this card into 2 challenges. The first is Anyone for Anya which this week is a recipe challenge. 3 papers/card, 2 buttons and 1 bow. The second challenge is Passion for Promarkers which is a lovely sketch.

I have used Miss Anya Rain, coloured with Promarkers. The backing paper is Stamping Up, I have cut around the flowers to overlap the circle embossed with Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder. Sentiment Clare Curd. Buttons and twine from stash.

Stampavie Challenge

My card today is for the Stampavie Challenge which is a lovely sketch. I don't know what the prize is because it is a secret but I am sure it will be lovely whatever it is.

I have used this pretty stamp from Stampavie called Lily taking care and coloured her with Promarkers. The backing papers are Stamping Up. Sentiment is SeeD. Swirl stamp I have had for ages and not used. Ribbon from stash.

Off out now to look for a new car. My present car is 10 years old so I am able to use the scrappage allowance of £2000 off a new one. Going to look at a Hyundai i10 and a Toyota Aygo. I only need a little car as I only go to work and back in it and a bit of local shopping. If we are going any further afield we use Chris's car. Wish me luck. Debs xx

Another 2 Challenge Card

Well it has definitely been a wet and wild one today. The wheelie bins have been blown all over the place, I have acquired two new bins in my garden, goodness knows who they belong to. I think the wind is just about settling down now but it is still chucking it down.

My card today is for two challenges again. The first challenge is the Friday Sketchers challenge. The sketch is a lovely one designed by Aud.

The second challenge is Anyone for Anyas which this week is the colours of your National Flag which in my case is Red, White and Blue.

I have used the Miss Anya from the Snow, Rain and Shine set and coloured her with Promarkers and used Glamour Dust on her fur. The papers are from Stamping Up. The tag and oval are using the Fiskars XL Squeeze punches that are a fantastic bargain at the moment in Home Bargains 99p (I got the circle as well) they are usually around £14. Snowflakes are a Cuttlebug die and punch. Ribbon and Brad from stash.
