Sugar Nellie meets Die Cut Dreams

My second card today is another Christmas Card and it is for the Splitcoast Stampers Sugar Nellie Challenge 'No Squares'.

I have cut the base card with the X Cut Shapecutter System and all the other circles with Nesties.  I have used this cute stamp 'Snow Angel' by Mary Hall and coloured with Promarkers.  The paper is Stamping Up.  Snowflakes are Cuttlebug and Sizzix dies.  The Snow is glamour dusted.

I am also entering this card into the Die Cut Dreams Challenge - Arctic Winter and Passion for Promarkers - Favourite Things.  My favourite time of the year is definitely Christmas, I love it.

Bah Humbug Challenge 24

Well that's it for another 4 years, the England Germany curse has hit us again and we are out of the World Cup.  One day eh!!! We can only dream!!

I have made 2 cards today, 2 Christmas Cards on the hottest day of the year.  How barmy is that.

My first card is for the Bah Humbug Challenge, which is to use the 'man himself' Father Christmas.

I have used a recycled image from one of last years received cards and cut it out with my Nesties.  The papers are Stamping Up.  Cuttlebug and Sizzix Snowflakes.  The sentiment sticker is from a Challenge Win.

I am also entering it into the Winter Wonderland Challenge which is Strawberries and Cream.

I'll be back later to post my second card when the glue dries.

Bah Humbug Challenge 23

This weeks challenge at Bah Humbug is 'A Childs Christmas'.

I have used this cute Freebie Eskimo and Snowman decoupage which I saved to my comp a couple of years ago.  I have just clicked on the link for it but the site Funky Fairy doesn't seem to be there anymore.

CAS card

Thought I'd have a go at one of these Clean and Simple cards today.  I have seen these all over blog land and they look so effective.  I really struggled with this one though as I kept wanting to put extra bits on, like gems and more faux stitching around the edge (might still do this before I give it away lol).

I have used this freebie digi image from Paper Addictions which I got free from Crafter's Digital Art Centre.  Go over and check it out, if you become a member there are lot's of lovely digi companies you can drool over and quite a few freebies too!!

The papers are Stamping Up and I have coloured the image with Promarkers and used glitter glue on the icing.  The sentiment is See D.

Splitcoast Stampers Sugar Nellie Challenge 10

My final card for this weekend is another birthday card. I have lots in June/July so am gradually filling up my spares box. The challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers Sugar Nellie Forum is another 'anything goes' and I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

The image is Goldilocks from Sugar Nellie and I have coloured her with Promarkers.  The papers are from Stamping Up and Costco.  Sentiment is See D.  Sizzix diecut flower blossom and punched flowers.  Button, gems and ribbon from stash.  I have added a bit of 3D gloss on the hairbrush and the ribbon and added a bit of glitter to the edges of the flowers.

I am also entering the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar - Floral Delights
Tuesday Taggers - All that Blooms

Fathers Day

My card today is for my dad for Fathers Day. Don't we all hate doing men's cards (well I do!!) and I am not that keen on decoupage but I received these sheets of 'Remember When' by La Pashe in a candy win and I think my dad will like this one as he used to work on the trams when he was a young man in Manchester.

I did quite enjoy making it, it is very therapeutic sitting watching the telly with a tray of paper to cut out on your knee.

Bah Humbug meets Lili of the Valley

Good Afternoon, what a lovely day it has been so far.  Been out in the garden doing a little bit of weeding, there's not too much as the plants have got that big theres no room for weeds lol.  Have hacked back the hostas as they were taking over and the little seedlings underneath weren't getting any light and I must admit it is looking good at the moment.

My card today is my weekly Christmas Card and as the Bah Humbug challenge this week is 'anything goes' I went off to find another challenge I could join in.  I found a lovely sketch over at the Lili of the Valley blog so have used that.

The stamp is by Lili of the Valley and is called Christmas Bunnies - Robin.  I have coloured it with Promarkers and used glamour dust for the snow and fake snow from B&M for his tail.  The papers are Stamping Up and the sentiment is See D.  Ribbon from stash.  I am also entering this card into:
Fairy Fun Fridays -Glitz and Glitter
Stamp Something - Happy (In my case it is Happy Christmas)

Right off to get sorted for tonight's match, hubby is putting the flags up as I type, he's up the ladder attaching an old fishing pole to the downspout off the roof with the flag attached (bit over the top I know but that's us lol).

COME ON ENGLAND DO US PROUD!!!

Totally Gorjuss meets Lovely Hanglar

This is my second post today so please scroll down to see my other card.  It is actually my third card but I can't post my second as the person it's for reads my blog (you know who you are lol!!)

I have just found this lovely new Hanglar challenge blog so if you are lucky enough to own any, why don't you pop over and give it a go.  Iris who is on the Design Team is also offering a fab candy with 2 chances to win if you join in with the challenge.

This is the only Hanglar I have along with the little accessory stamps of plants, trowel and fork but hope to get some more one day.  I have coloured her with promarkers.  The backing paper is Stamping Up.  Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly.  Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch.  Ribbon is from a candy win and gems from stash.

The sketch I have followed is from the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog.

Friday Sketchers meets Just Magnolia

Just a quick post this morning, I have just realised that I need to get 5 cards done before next weekend so had better get a wriggle on!!

My first card is for a birthday and I have used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers.

I am also entering this card into the Just Magnolia challenge which this week is to use pleated lace.

I have used this gorgeous 'Flying Tilda' and coloured her with Promarkers.  The wings are coloured with the pearly paints from The Works mixed with irridescent medium and then glamour dusted to up the sparkle.  The papers are a Zoe Pearn freebie from a magazine.  SeeD sentiment.  Punched flowers and gems from stash.

Right back to craft table for me, to see what else I can come up with today.

Bah Humbug Challenge 21

Hello again, another lovely morning, heaven knows what the afternoon will bring, did any of you get that deluge last night!!!

My card today is another for my Christmas box, it is looking very healthy now and yes I do feel quite smug! The Bah Humbug challenge this week is 'Acetate'. Now when I saw this one, my heart did sink a bit. I don't think I have ever used acetate and have never bought any so the Internet had to come to my rescue again.  After a quick search of the online galleries and some videos on Youtube (well I say a quick search, it wasn't really cos once you start looking you get sidetracked and then forget what you are looking for in the first place lol) this is what I came up with.

I had an old box on top of my wardrobe that a scrapbook kit came in and it had an acetate window in the lid, so I pinched that (never throw anything away ha ha).

I cut a window in my card with my nestie and then made a frame out of silver card with the next size up. I sandwiched the acetate between the 2 cards and then used a lovely snowflake peeloff on the outside and also put one on the inside too.  I then embellished the rest of the card with smaller snowflakes and cut out a label with my x cut punch and added a peeloff sentiment/border and attached with a little gold brad.

I am also entering this card into Susie and Vikki's Challenge as this week it is snowflakes.
