Stewart's 21st

It is my son Stewart's 21st Birthday on Monday, gosh do I feel old!!! Where has the time gone. I always struggle with male cards and this one really got me in a spin. Just couldn't think of anything that I hadn't already done before.

So after searching all the blogs for inspiration I came up with this inspired by Kerry Pickle's stepper card but I put the numbers at the bottom so it would still fit in a square envelope.  If you are reading this Kerry, thank you ever so much.  He is a keen photographer and we have bought him a new camera for his birthday so thought this image would be appropriate.

The image is a download from Dustin Pike and it is coloured with Promarkers.  The Backing Papers are Boy Oh Boy from Summer Driggs and the sentiment is done on the computer.

I am entering this card into the A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which this week is 3D Something.

Birthday Card

This is my second card today so please scroll down and take a look at my Bah Humbug Challenge Card.  Isn't it a gorgeous day, lovely and sunny but still a bit cold.  Been out in the garden this morning tidying up clearing all the rubbish that was dumped behind the shed over the Winter.  Looks tons better now.

I have used another of my Sugar Nellie stamps and coloured her with Promarkers.  The backing papers are My Minds Eye.  The Sentiment is a SeeD stamp, butterfly charm is from The Works, ribbon and card candy is from stash.

I am entering this card into 3 challenges.
Sketch Saturday and One Stop Craft Challenge which is Metal and Passion for Promarkers In the garden.

Bah Humbug Challenge 15/Sugar Bowl Challenge Sketch/Winter Wonderland

The challenge this week at Bah Humbug is PINK so that's what they got, pink, pink and more pink and you know what I quite like it.  I am not a pink kind of girl actually (I know my name is Pink Dandelion but I have had that name for about 30 years,  back to the days when I went caravanning with my parents and we kept in touch with CB radios, no such thing as mobiles, facebook, messaging then lol).  I am also entering this into The Sugar Bowl challenge which is the fab sketch from Tiets and you have to include punching and the third challenge I am entering is Winter Wonderland which this week is Anything Goes.

I have used this fab stamp from Sugar Nellie 'Wrapped Up Girl' by Mary Hall and coloured her with Promarkers.  The backing paper is DCWV Christmas Multistack and Dovecrafts (I think).  The netting down the side is a piece of Plasterboard tape.  I have used a Craft tonic punch down the side and punched out the little white snowflakes with a punch from Wilkinsons.  The big snowflake is a Sizzix die cut.  Fake snow from B&M and glamour dust.

Get Well Soon

My card today is a Get Well Soon card for my collection, don't know about you but I seem to be sending more of these type of cards just lately.

The image is a fabulous freebie image from Digistamp Boutique which I have coloured with Promarkers and Glamour Dusted the wings.  The strip of paper across the middle is a scrap of Stamping Up from my scrap pile (trying to use this up, before it takes over the house) and the gems are from Home Bargains. Just a quick and simple card today.

Bah Humbug Challenge 14

This week's Christmas card fits in with 3 Challenges, the first is Bah Humbug which this week is 'Santa Paws'. You have to include a Festive Furry Friend and the challenge is to make the Design Team go Awwwwww. Well I dare anybody not to say Awwww to this little cutie from Penny Black 'Wish List'.

The 2nd challenge is ABC Christmas which this week is H for Holly. I have used this scrap of Holly paper (can't remember where from, sorry) and have dry embossed a couple of holly leaves in the corner of the card. Finally, the third challenge is Winter Wonderland which this week is to use embossing. I have dry embossed the corners of the card and used embossing powder on the Sentiment.

Fathers Day

This is one of the cards I am sending to Save our Soldiers for the troops to send back to their loved ones. I am going to try and get a few more Fathers Day cards done today as they have to be sent off before the end of April then I will raid my extras box and see what else I can come up with.

The backing papers are Papermania 'For Him' and the image is a Claire Curd coloured with Promarkers. Sentiment done on the computer.

Just Because.........

I have made this card today for no other reason than I haven't made one in a while and was getting itchy fingers lol. So I chose this fab image of Mo's (Late) that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. It is another of her freebies, I can't believe how generous she is with her images. After searching my favourites for a challenge to enter I am entering this into the Passion for Promarkers challenge which this week is to make your background using Promarkers only.

I made the background by using Apple, Grass and Mustard Promarkers in straight lines then cut the card into 6 cm squares and jumbled them up before sticking them back down onto the backing card (think I should have left it as one piece now though). The image was coloured with Promarkers too. I am not completely happy with the blending but think I am getting better with practice. I haven't put a sentiment onto this yet cos I don't know what it is going to be but I think it would be suitable for a belated birthday or get well card.

Bah Humbug/Susie and Vikki's Christmas Challenge

Afternoon everyone. I made this card for Susie & Vikki's Reindeer Challenge but got a bit behind and then realised it was too late to enter. But would you believe it, it fits in with this weeks challenge too which is blue and silver.

I am also entering this into this weeks Bah Humbug Challenge which is Tags and Labels. I am really enjoying getting all my Christmas Cards made early this year instead of the usual last minute rush.

I have used the Rudolph stamp from Hampton Arts stamped with silver ink and clear embossing powder. Backing paper is Dovecraft. Fiskars label punch and SeeD sentiment. Sizzix and cuttelbug snowflake die cuts and gems and ribbon from stash.

Easter Monday

Happy Easter Monday everyone, hope the weather is a bit better for you today. It's a bit dull and miserable here but at least the rains have kept off for now. Hubby is out in the garden putting up some new trellising or my clematis will have nothing to climb up this year. Emily has just walked down the stairs, I think she has been awake for a while but watching telly in her bedroom and Stewart has just walked in the door, he stayed at his friends last night and looks a bit the worse for wear. So from having the house to myself and a bit of peace we now have a full house.

I have used this cute little Penny Black stamp Poppy Fields coloured with Promarkers and Whispers. Papers are Stamping Up. Ribbon, flowers and brads from stash. Sentiment Clare Curd.
My card today is for a few challenges:
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Checks

Friday Sketchers - Sketch

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - How does your Garden Grow

Meljens Designs - Anything Goes

ABC Challenge - R for Red

Birthday Card

I have posted 3 cards today so please scroll down and take a look at the others. This card is one for my birthday box. I like to keep a little stash on hand just in case. I am entering this card into the Karen's Doodles Challenge which has a cute little picture for inspiration. Pop over to this challenge blog if you get a chance as they are holding a blog hop this weekend with lovely prizes up for grabs if you join in

I have used this cute digi image from Karen's Doodles called Bath Time and coloured it with Promarkers and used 3D gloss on the bubbles. The papers are from the freebie set of My Minds Eye Pretty Please Spring Papers. The Sentiment is a See D. Ribbon and brads from stash.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

I love Digi - 3 papers, 2 brads and 1 embellishment. 15/4

Bee Crafty - Birthday Card 10/4

Wendys Birthday

This is a card that my sister has asked me to make for her next door neighbour. The only information she gave me was that she was called Wendy, she was 70. not a girly lady and loves Border Terriers and gardening. So this is what I came up with.

I got the image from Google images and cut it out with my nesties. The brown card is from an old Paper Mill box. I have cuttlebugged the centre panel with my swiss dots folder and added a couple of brads and ribbon from my stash. The wording has been printed directly onto the base card using Greeting Card Factory. Not my usual type of card and I was taken out of my comfort zone a little bit but did enjoy it. Hope she likes it.

Bah Humbug Challenge 12 - Embossing

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is to use Embossing. You can use any type of embossing, machine embossing, dry embossing, heat embossing etc. I have chosen to use my embossing folders in the Cuttlebug and have used Swiss Dots and Snowflakes.

The image is from Sugar Nellie and is called Pulling Sledge by Mary Hall. I have coloured it with Promarkers and used Glamour Dust on the fur on the coat. I have used the fake snowy stuff that is like flower soft from B&M, a couple of gems from Home Bargains and the sentiment is from SeeD.
