Sugar Nellie Challenge

I have made this card for 2 challenges and they are both Sugar Nellie Challenges. The first is The Sugar Bowl Challenge and this week the challenge is to pick a favourite sketch from previous weeks, well that was easy for me because there is one sketch that I have used over and over again and that is Week 25 'Lilians sketch' I love using it.

The second challenge is a Sugar Nellie challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers Forum. The challenge here is to make an easel card.

I have used the Sugar Nellie stamp 'Blossom' by Leanne Ellis and coloured her with Promarkers. I have paper pieced the flowers and decoupaged the bunch of flowers she is holding. The papers are Stamping Up and are in fact the scraps left over from the previous card on my blog. The sentiment is another from Cuddly Buddly. Aww just seen that Hayley and Dan have won Dancing on Ice. Not much of a surprise there then she was the favourite from the beginning. My personal favourite was Kieran and am so glad that he made it to the final and got to fly.

Baby Card

Got woken up early this morning by darling hubby going fishing, why does he have to make such a racket, he must have slammed the car doors about 10 times at least, goodness knows what the neighbours thought!!! So as I was awake and the sun was shining I got stuck into this card. It is for a friend of my son's whose sister has just had a baby boy.

The image is from Meljens Designs (isn't it cute) and coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from Stamping Up. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly. Ribbon and gems from stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday Challenge - The Sketch

Pile it On - Animal Riffic 4/4

HFOS - You're a Sweet One

Crafty Creations - Babies

Creative Card Crew - Going Dotty

Bah Humbug Challenge 11 - Peeloffs

Hello, the challenge this week at Bah Humbug is to use peel offs. I have got a couple of folders of peel offs that I bought when I first started crafting but I must admit to not using them for probably a year at least. I had to go digging down to the bottom of my craft trolley for them. I have used the bauble peel offs stuck onto backing paper, border peel offs down the edge of the backing paper and a peel off sentiment

Magnetic Bookmark

The challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge is to make a bookmark. So after a lot of phiffing and phaffing this is what I have come up with.

I have used this freebie Easter Digi Image from Bee Crafty and coloured with Promarkers. The papers are a free digi download by Zoe Pearn printed directly onto the card. Punched flowers and leaves. Ribbon and gems from stash. I have added a little magnet to the back of the image which holds the bookmark tight to the page.

Get well soon

I have made this card for a colleague of my husbands who is feeling a bit under the weather at the moment. I am also entering it into the ABC challenge on Docrafts which this week is Q - for Quarantine. I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge.

I have used this cute freebie download from Dustin Pike coloured withPromarkers. The papers are from Costco. Sentiment is Clare Curd.

Dawn's Birthday Card

This card is for my sister. This is the first time I won't be able to walk across the park to give it to her as she moved down to Cirencester earlier this year.

I have used the fab sketch on Sketch Saturday . The challenge at Just Magnolia this week is to do an easel card. Sorry I don't know the name of this Tilda as she was given to me but I'd love to know so I can try and get her for myself. She is coloured with Promarkers as usual. The backing papers are 'Pretty Please Spring Papers' by My Minds Eye. Punched Flowers. Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch, Ribbon and gems from stash, charm from The Works.

I am also entering this card into

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Spring has sprung and

One Stop Craft Challenge - Let it Shine

Bah Humbug Challenge 10

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is 'Vintage'. Oh eck I thought, this isn't my type of thing at all but I have done my best. I got the image from a free download on Crafty Computer Paper and glittered it up. The background I have run through the snowflake embossing folder on my cuttlebug.

I think it looks a bit bare so I might end up adding a ribbon or snowflakes before Christmas. What do you think, does it need something else adding?

This weeks Christmas Card

I am still keeping up with my promise to myself to make a Christmas card every week. This weeks card fits in with 3 challenges. The first is the fabulous sketch from A Gem of a Challenge. I have used one of Janet's stamps Mimi and Snowman and coloured with Promarkers. The second challenge is from Bah Humbug. The ladies over there have been a bit sneaky this week, as it is their 9th Challenge they have asked us to include at least 3 of the previous 8 challenges. I have included 5 of the 8, Glitter, snowman, trees, baubles and stitching. The third challenge I am entering is ABC Christmas Challenge which this week is
F - Frosty.
The papers are Dovecraft. Snowflakes Embossing Folder. Sentiment is See D. Sizzlets Snowflake die.

Teddies for Tragedies

One of the GPs I work with is a member of the Rotary Club and they send out Lifeboxes to countries throughout the world who have been affected by natural and man made disasters. She asked all the girls if we could knit some teddies for Teddies for Tragedies so I thought I'd show you a couple of the ones I have knitted

As you can see I am not the world's best knitter but I had a go and don't think they have turned out too bad. The pattern was really easy to follow.

Friday Sketchers meets Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

My 2nd card today is for another swap I do every month. I have used the sketch on Friday Sketchers. It looks a lot brighter in real life but I couldn't get a better picture.

The image is another Sugar Nellie, this one is one of my favourites 'Dressing Up Maggie'. I have coloured her with Promarkers and the papers are Stamping Up. I am also entering this card into The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge who are celebrating the launch of a new set of stamps 'Jake and Molly' they are gorgeous, pop over to their blog and check them out.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Good Afternoon, finally caught up with all my outstanding cards. This is the first one which is for a swap over on DoCrafts. I have followed the sketch on The Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog and you had to include stars somewhere.

The image is Manga kids from Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from Costco and My Minds Eye. Sentiment is Clare Curd.

Bah Humbug meets ABC Christmas

My Christmas card this week fits in with 2 of the Christmas Challenges. The first challenge is Bah Humbug which this week is to use stitching/faux stitching. I do have a sewing machine which I use for my cards but when I cleared the dining room for Christmas my hubbie put it in the loft and I'm not going up there to get it (too many spiders!!). I promise I will use proper stitching on a card in the future though.

The second challenge is the ABC Christmas Challenge which this week is E for Elf. I think this Whiff of Joy stamp looks like an elf, dont you?. You also had to use the colours Red and Green.

Bah Humbug Challenge

The challenge at Bah Humbug this week is 'Trees'. I am mega late with this one, a new challenge starts tomorrow but I have been so busy the time just ran away with me. So I guess it is better late than never.

I have used the paper from the Lidl pack again and made the ribbon by cutting up the matching vellum. I have used 3D gloss on the trees and sprinkled with a bit of glamour dust. Finished off with a candy dot and peel off.

What a lovely day

Good afternoon, what a lovely day, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and I picked up my new car this morning. I have never had a brand new car before but I couldn't resist the scrappage offer. I got £2100 back on my old Punto and bought myself a cute little Hyundai i10. Ooh I do feel posh lol.
My card today is a new baby card for my cousin Sharon, she gave birth to her third on Saturday. They haven't decided on a final name yet but it will be Jessica Lucy or Lucy Jessica.

Sorry about the photo but this is the best of the lot, I couldn't get one without shadows. I have used the Forever Friends stamp 'New Arrival' and coloured with Promarkers. The paper is Stamping Up. The stamp die is one of the freebie ones that comes with the Cuttlebug. Image cut out with nesties. Corners are Sizzix dies. Ribbon and gems from stash. Sentiment Clare Curd.

I am entering this card into 2 challenges, Cute Card Thursday which is to use Ribbon and One Stop Craft Challenge which is 'optimistically pink'.
