Purple Christmas

Here's another Christmas card to add to my collection. I am going to try and do a few a week now up til Christmas. Probably won't happen and I will end up rushing to get them done at the last minute. I am also going to try and use up all the papers I have left from the last few years. Are you like me and always want to buy new papers every year even though you have tons already?
This card fits into 2 challenges. The first is Passion for Promarkers where you have to use 2 or more of lilac, lavender, amethyst and aubergine. The only one I havn't used is aubergine as I don't have this one ............................yet!!
The second is a sketch from Sketch Saturday I have really enjoyed this sketch and think it is very effective.

The stamp is Winter Mimi by Pink Gem coloured with Promarkers and sparkled up with glamour dust, cuttlebug Ice Crystal and See D sentiment.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

My daughter asked me to make a card for her friend, Sam's birthday this week. I have used this lovely stamp Willow with Hot Chocolate from Whiff of Joy and coloured it with Promarkers.

I have had the lounge walls plastered this week and the plasterers left behind a roll of plasterboard tape, well you know what us crafters are like, waste not want not, so I coloured it with my Promarkers to match the card and used it as an embellishment. I don't think it looks too bad, do you? Another added bonus is that it is self adhesive so no having to tuck it in behind the backing paper.
I have also joined in with the Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge this week as the challenge was to use the colours Turquoise and Brown. Sorry about the poor photo but my camera has just died and I have had to use my daughter's cheapo one.

Thank you for taking the time to look and I hope you like it. Best wishes Debs xx

Sketch Saturday Challenge

What a beautiful day it has been today, lets hope it stays like this all week as I have got the week off work.
Just come in for something to eat and get a break from the sunshine and thought I would post this card that I made this morning. I have followed the fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

Passion for Promarkers

Yeeaa I have been able to join in with the Passion For Promarkers Challenge this week because it is a sketch challenge. Although I have got quite a few PMs I never seem to have both the colours that were needed for the challenges. This sketch is a lovely one designed by Michelle, I have really enjoyed working with it.

I have used this cute Christmas stamp from Pink Gem Designs called Mimi and Snowman.
Skin colours, Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink. Mimi's clothes, Lilac, Lavender, Blossom, Pastel Yellow. Snowman, Pastel Green, Coral and Pastel Blue.

18 Birthday

This is a card I promised to make for Faye, the daughter of Fairy Wings over on the DoCrafts Forum.

I have used the fabulous sketch on the Friday Sketchers Blog.

My First Distressed Card

I have combined two challenges this week Simon Says and Just Magnolia because they are both the same 'distressing'. It is the first time I have had a go at this, and though I think I have done alright I am not too sure if I like it or not....

I have coloured the lovely Tilda with Promarkers. The backing paper is from the Costco pack and I have distressed the edges with a pair of scissors. I have stamped around the edges of the pale brown card with an old leaf stamp to 'dirty' it up a bit. Buttons and Ribbons from my stash.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Sorry I havn't been around for a while, naughty blogger!! I got back from Turkey 2 weeks ago and just couldn't get back into crafting, don't know what it was but couldn't find my mojo. Anyway when I saw Tabs fantastic sketch on the Just Magnolia blog I thought it was a great opportunity to get back into it, so as today is my day off work I locked myself in my dining room, turned the radio up loud ( to drown out the banging from next door, new neighbours are moving in, but knocking it to pieces first ) and got all my craft stuff out around me.

This is what I came up with, so thanks Tab for getting me going again.
I have used this lovely Tilda image coloured with Promarkers and whispers. I have used Anita's 3D gloss on the balloons, glamour dust on her wings. Papers are from the jumbo set from Costco. Gems from stash. The netting is from one of those little bags you put your soap tablets in for the washing machine. Sentiment Clare Curd stamp.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

This is my second post today so please scroll down and take a look at my other challenge card. The challenge at the Sugar Bowl this week is a sketch challenge. It is a fabulous sketch designed by Judy with the option to include 'sparkle'.

I have used this cute little Penny Black stamp 'kickin' coloured with Promarkers and pearly paints. I have used irridescent medium to water down the paints, so this is my 'sparkle' element. If you zoom in, you might just be able to make it out. The papers and bee, I received in a swap. The sentiment is Clare Curd and gems from stash.

Whiff of Joy Challenge Card

The challenge on Whiff of Joy this week is a recipe challenge. The challenge is to use 3 patternpapers, 3 flowers and one ribbon. The prize is a gorgeous rubber stamp called 'Shy Willow'.

I have used the 'Willow with Cookies' stamp coloured with Whispers and Promarkers. Papermania 'Simply Elegant' papers. Flowers, ribbon and gems from stash.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Not been around for a while as I have been mega busy at work and havn't had the energy when I get home. This week's card is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. There is a lovely sketch to follow this week.

It has been a miserable day here today, chucking it down all afternoon and it doesn't help when you are watching Wimbledon and it is scorching there. I hope we get to see Murray play tonight but the way the Roddick match is going it might be too late.

I have used the Penny Black stamp 'uplifting occasions' coloured with Promarkers. The papers and flower stickers are all from a prize I won on a DoCrafts weekly challenge so sorry I don't know the name of them. The sentiment is from the Clare Curd Sentiment Range. Come to think of it this card didn't cost me much to make at all. The image I received in a swap. The Promarkers I won in a blog candy and the papers from my win. I did pay for the sentiment stamp, ink and blue and white card.
EDIT: Andy Murray won, yeah!!!! Still raining boooo!!
