Christmas Card #4

This week's Christmas card is for 2 challenges.  The first is for Bah Humbug and this week it is oldie but goldie.  I have had this stamped image 'Waiting Tilda' for ages.  It was an image donated by a good friend and its another I have been saving.   Why do I do this?  Does anybody else?  I have an envelope full of images I am saving, maybe that should be my challenge this year to actually use them ha ha.

The second challenge I am entering is Winter Wonderland which is to use a sentiment as a focal point on your card.   This sentiment is another I have had in my drawers for ages.  It is part of a foiling and flocking kit.  I have used the flocking  on this one.  It was really easy too, don't know why I haven't used it before.

Baby Boy

Good Afternoon, I thought I'd better get cracking on another baby card just in case it makes an early appearance.  The next one is due in about 2-3 weeks and I think this one will be a girl.  I already have a girl card but knowing my luck it will be another boy.  I still have to make cards for the grandparents.  I work with both the grannies to be, in fact one of them is the grannie of the baby that arrived a couple of weeks ago.  Fancy that hey, 2 grandchildren within a month of each other.

I have used this cute little stamp from Sugar Nellie 'Circle of Love' and coloured with Promarkers.  I have followed the sketch on The Sugar Bowl.  I am also entering it into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Bingo, I have used the bottom line which is Punches/Diecuts-Embossing-Ribbon.
I love Promarkers - KISS - Keep It Sweet and Simple
Stamp Something - Something Cute

Christmas Card #3

My Christmas Card this week is another for a few challenges.

The first challenge is ABC Christmas.  This week the challenge is B for Black and White.  The sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Dustin Pike and there is even a freebie from Dustin so there is no excuse not to enter.  I've used this fabby reindeer image by Dustin and coloured with Promarkers.  I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and am also entering it into Cute Card Thursday which is 1,2,3  I have used one paper, 2 stamps and 3 embellishments.

Now here's my apology!!  Sorry ladies at Bah Humbug I know I haven't missed a week since you started your challenges and I haven't missed this week either but I am rather ashamed of my feeble effort.  When I saw that the challenge this week was 'crackers'  I thought that won't be too difficult but after searching high and low, through all my Christmas stash I haven't found one single cracker on any of my stamps or papers.  I did however, find these brads that I won from you and this one is supposed to be a cracker (it looks more like a boiled sweet to me lol!!)  Sorry, I promise I will try harder  next week.

Sugar Nellie

Yayyyy managed to find a bit of time this morning to get crafty.  What a miserable day though, really struggled to get some good light so my pics are not very good.

Baby Boy Card

Well what did I say, I told you there were babies due right!!  Well one decided to make an entrance yesterday.  I made a baby girl card on Sunday so it had to be a boy didn't it.  I am daft really because all along I thought it would be a boy so I don't know why I made a girl card first.  I think the next one will be a girl, so we'll have to see if I am right.

I have used this cute little giraffe image from Meljen's Designs and coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are Stamping Up, Ribbon and buttons from stash and sentiment printed off computer.

I am entering this card into Passion for Promarkers which luckily this week is baby cards and Simon Says Stamp Challenge - New Beginnings and Cupcake Crafts - Something New (thanks Denise), Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes

First Christmas Card 2011

Well, here's my first post of 2011.  Not really felt up to making cards yet, my mojo has deserted me.  Spent lots of time checking out the blogs hoping that it would kick in again but not much luck I am afraid.  Bah Humbug have started their weekly Christmas Challenge again, so I had to join in as I managed to do one every week last year.  The challenge this week is Holly/Fairies so I used this lovely stamp from Charmed Cards 'Holly Pixie' coloured with Promarkers, paper is very old, I think from a QVC kit, ribbon is recycled from a Lindt Christmas Reindeer and poinsettia sticker was in the prize for completing all the challenges on Bah Humbug.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Friday Sketch - The Sketch
I Love Promarkers - Recycle (the ribbon, Lindt Chocolate Reindeer)

Favourite Cards 2010

Good Afternoon and a Happy New Year to you all.  Chris and I are not doing anything special tonight just having a nice meal and watching telly.  I might even take the Christmas tree down if there's nothing on.  Stewart and Emily are both going to house parties and staying overnight so we won't see them until tomorrow.  Knowing me I'll be in bed by 10 and be woken by the fireworks at midnight and then won't be able to go back to sleep lol.

Anyway, Debby has set us the challenge of picking our 5 most favourite cards of 2010 and has offered a prize for joining in.  I found it very difficult to pin it down to 5 but here goes.

My first is this baby card.  I haven't done many baby cards but really enjoyed making this one.  Next year there are 3 babies due so you may be seeing a couple of variations of this card very soon.

This Hanglar image I received from a good friend and was hanging on to it until there was a special birthday.  This was for my mum, you can't get more special than your mum, can you.

One of my favourite Penny Blacks used on an anniversary card for my sister and her husband.

I loved the colours, papers and layout on this one.  Sugar Nellie stamp cropped as it is so big.  I 'Debbylised' this one with a bit of decoupage.

Another of my favourite Penny Black stamps.

I can't believe I haven't included any Mo Mannings as I love them too, but stuck to 5 as asked.

Well hope you all have a lovely evening whatever you are doing.  Best wishes for 2011.

Hubby's Birthday

This is my second card today so please scroll down to see the other.

It was actually Chris' birthday just before Christmas but this is the first time I have had chance to blog it.  Who thinks birthdays at Christmas and New Year should be banned.  I keep trying to make him have a June birthday instead but he is having none of it lol.

I have used the LOTV image 'Pride and Joy' again and coloured with Promarkers.  The papers were a free download from Shabby Princess 'Squares and Dots'.  I am entering it into the LOTV challenge which is to use this fab sketch by Dena.

New Year Birthday

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and got lots of lovely crafty pressies. I only got a couple, some new Promarkers from my son, he even took my colour chart with him to make sure he didn't get any duplicates. Then he decided to leave them on the bus and had to go chasing after it lol. Managed to get them though so it all worked out well in the end. Got 4 sets of Nesties off Chris, I told him which ones I wanted and he ordered the correct ones but the Online shop he ordered from sent one of them wrong. I have sent an email to try and sort it out but had no reply yet. Hopefully they will reply tomorrow when we all go back to work.

My card for today is for a lady I work with who will be 60 on New Years Eve.  I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.  The image is from Mo Manning and is Bella Carrying the cake and is coloured with Promarkers.

I am also entering this card into:

Passion for Promarkers - Anything Goes
I love Promarkers - Anything Goes

Five Favourite Christmas Cards

Debby at A Scrapjourney has some lovely candy on offer.  She wants us all to post our 5 favourite Christmas Cards.  Just gone back through the year and found it quite difficult to choose but these are what I came up with.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a Fab New Year.
