Thank You Card

My second card today is a Thank You card. I am sending it to the owners of the cottage we stayed in last week in The Lakes. We have stayed in holiday cottages for the last 4 years and I can honestly say that this time the owners went out of their way to make the holiday as special as possible.

I have used one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps 'Dressing Up Maggie' and coloured her with Promarkers.  The BP are Stamping Up and My Minds Eye.  I have used my doily lace punch.  Sentiment is SeeD.  Large pearls and beads around neck are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Colour Create - Pastel Lilac, Pastel Mint, Pastel Yellow

Sugar Nellie

Not been around this week, we have been away on holiday in The Lake District. We stayed in a lovely cosy cottage, high up in the hills. Had a gorgeous view of the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man, Muncaster Castle and the mountains and fells behind us. We were so lucky with the weather, it only rained during the night on Thursday and then we had a couple of showers on the Friday, but we were in Coniston so just kept popping in the shops until it cleared. I need a rest now as hubby doesn't believe in relaxing on holiday he kept dragging me up mountains. We had no internet and only got a signal on our phones when we drove down near the coast, it was fab. Back to normal now though, we are all home and glued to our laptops. I must try to spend less time on here but once I come on the time just runs away with me.

My card today is following the sketch on Sweet Sketch Wednesday and is also being entered into the Sugar Nellie Challenge on Papercraft Planet which this week is to use Autumn Colours.  I have used this gorgeous Sugar Nellie 'Post Box'.  I seem to be using this stamp a lot just lately and as usual I have coloured her with Promarkers.  The papers are from the free pack of Spring Papers in  Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.  Punched flowers and leaves.  Ribbon and gems from stash.

Penny Black Hedgies

My card this evening I am entering into a few challenges.  The first challenge is Sketch Saturday which of course is this fabulous sketch.  I really enjoyed using this one, all my favourite sketches seem to have circles in them.  I am also entering my card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which this week is 'on the beach'.  Now I know you are going to say this isn't very beachy but everytime I see this stamp 'head over heels' it reminds me of when the kids were little and going to Ainsdale beach at the weekends where they spent all the time doing 'rolly polly's' down the sand dunes so I hope it will be accepted as an entry.

I have coloured the cute hedgies with Promarkers.  The papers are Stamping Up.  I have cut the large circle with the X Cut Shape Cutter and embossed with Swiss Dots folder.  The yellow and pink flowers have been recycled from an old birthday card I received.  Swirls are a cuttlebug die cut.  Charm and gem from stash.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

One Stop Crafts - Summer Fun
Fab 'n' Funky - Spotty, Dotty and Stripes
PB at Allsorts Challenge - Glitter and Glitz
