Nutshells DT Call

Katie and Colette at Nutcrafters have set up a new blog called Nutshells and are asking for bloggers to become part of their Design Team.  They have kindly provided a fabulous little 'Nut' Digistamp to use.  You need to follow the sketch provided by Nikki.

Also to celebrate their new blog they have some candy to give away.  4 of Katie's new stamps from the Summer collection before the official release and a selection of Imaginisce flowers.

I have coloured the image with Whispers pens and paper pieced her dress.  The papers are a free digi download from Summer Driggs called Limeade.  It does look a bit more limey in real life but no matter what I tried I couldn't get the photo to capture the colour.  I have punched the flowers out of the same papers and the branch/leaves is a sizzix border die.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge

What a beautiful morning, the sun is shining, blue skies, no clouds and a lovely breeze. The birds had me up at 5.30 so I got up and made this card for the new Passion for Promarkers challenge. I think there will be a lot of interest in this challenge as the prizes are fab. Dies to Die for are giving 2 stamps, Angel Crafts are offering 3 ribbon sets and Joanna Sheen is offering a full set of 92 Promarkers, how generous is that.

I have just got these fabulous Miss Anya Stamps (I won the set in Julie's Birthday Blog Candy, thank you Julie)
These are the Promarker colours I have used, Ivory and Blush for the skin colours, Terracotta and Apricot for her hair and Grass, Pastel Pink and Pastel Yellow for her clothes.

The paper and flowers are from another candy win so I don't know the names and the sentiment is from the Clare Curd Sentiment Range.

Off to get showered and dressed now, then Chris, Em and I are going for a country walk, I think we are going to Edale in The Peak District. See you later.

Emigration Card

I have made this card for my colleague at work to give to her brother-in-law and his wife who are emigrating to Canada. I googled Canada images and cut them out. The Strongbow can is because you can't get it over there and they are very miffed about that.

Anniversary Card

This is my second post of the day, so if you are reading this please scroll down and take a look at my other card.
It is my sister and brother-in-law's anniversary on 24 May so I thought I had plenty of time to make this card but no (my sister always does this to me!!!) she phoned me on Thursday night to say she was going away on holiday for two weeks today (Saturday). I went into panic mode as I have a full time job and am usually shattered when I get home. I very nearly went into a card shop but just couldn't bring myself to go in lol. So anyway I think this is the quickest card I have made in a long time, just picked first image I liked and the first papers that went with it and I don't think it has turned out half bad.

Stamp is from Stampavie 'Prickly Love' coloured with sparkly paints from The Works and whispers.

Just Magnolia Challenge

This week's challenge at Just Magnolia is a gorgeous sketch designed by Naoual. It is such a dull and dismal day here today I have used this pretty bright paper that I received in a prize from DoCrafts. Tilda is coloured with watercolour pencils and Promarkers. I have used my new Nestie label (again!!!) and the swirls embossing folder. Sizzix flower and swirls. Gems and ribbon from my stash.

Cute Card Thursday

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday this week is to use Letters or Numbers so this fitted in perfectly with this card I made today.
It is my daughter's last full day at secondary school tomorrow, she is going on study leave and only has to go in for her GCSE's. This card is for one of her favourite teachers. I have used the lovely stamp 'Coco' which is a new design exclusive to Nutcrafters. Katie and Colette have launched their own range 'The Nutshells Collection' all with nut inspired names Hazel, Mac, Tash (pistachio) and Coco. Go and check out the collection, there are 8 stamps to choose from. If any of you have met Katie and Colette at the recent craft shows you will recognise Coco as she was based on Colette.

I have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from Costco, ribbon and gems from my stash. Letters are cuttlekids diecuts cut on the cuttlebug. I have chalked around the edge of my Nestie label and have used Anitas 3D gloss on her glasses. Sentiment is from the Clare Curd Signature Range.

Fisherman Card. Cupcake Craft Challenge

Card made for my dad, who loves fishing. The images I received in an image swap, so I don't know the make (please tell me if you know). The challenge at Cupcake Craft this week is to make a card for a man or boy. I have coloured with watercolour pencils and whispers. The papers are from the For Him collection by Papermania and the stickers are a free gift from the DoCrafts Creativity magazine. Ribbon from stash.

Fiona's Birthday

This is a card I have made for Fiona's birthday tomorrow. I have used the sketch from the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I really enjoyed using this sketch and love how the card has turned out.
I have used the Sugar Nellie stamp by Leanne Ellis 'Talking to the birds' coloured with whispers and watercolour pencils. I have cut it out with my new Nestabilities label. This is my first Nestie but wont be my last lol. The papers are a combination of Basic Grey and my Costco favourites. Punched flowers, ribbon and heart pin from my stash. This is also the first time I have decorated the inside to match the front with the left over offcuts. Thanks for looking.

Colour Create Challenge

Today's card is one for the Colour Create Challenge.  The challenge this weekis set by Mina and is to use the colours Red, Cream and Chocolate with the added option of ribbons.  Go and check out the Design Teams cards, they are all fab.

The stamp I have used is one from the new 'Nutshells Collection' designed by Katie at 'Nutcrafters'.   There are 8 in the collection, so you might see some more of these popping up on my blog.  I have coloured her with Promarkers and Whispers pens and gone over the top with iridescent medium to give her a shimmery effect.  I still need practice with my pens, I am not too keen on the hair on this one but will get better with time (I hope).

Friendship Swap

This is the card I have made for May's Friendship Swap on the DoCrafts Forum.  Every month we are partnered up and we have to exchange cards.  It just so happens that this month I have been partnered with the same person as last month,  what's the chances of that happening eh!!!

This month there is also a sketch challenge that you can join in with, so as I love working to sketches I had to join in.  The sketch was set by Carol.

The stamped image was sent to me by Mina, it is a Sugar Nellie called Chick-a-dee and I coloured it with Whispers.  The backing paper is a free download from Tinker & Co called Spring Fresh.  The other papers are out of my scrap box, gems, flowers and brad from stash.  Sentiment stamp Clare Curds Signature Range
